A true miracle

Today President Welker was at our ward because Hallie Craner spoke in our sacrament meeting.  After the meeting he said I haven't told you the whole story about Sarah's reassignment.  He said when the travel itinerary came for Sarah and it was for the Kennewick, Washington mission, President Welker said he called the missionary department to figure out if she was supposed to go to Kennewick or Washington, DC. They looked further and said she was supposed to go to Kennewick.  President Welker asked if they could check with Elder Bednar because Sarah was excited and felt strongly that she was supposed to go to Washington DC south mission.

As part of the Kennewick mission they flew out Tuesday so she could attend the temple on Monday. The Washington DC south missionaries flew out on Monday.  She would have had to try and reschedule her temple date or fly out a week later.  She flew out by herself Thursday. That leads me to the next little miracle.

Monday before the temple we went to Walmart. While we were there we met an amazing cashier Glenn. He was super excited to meet Sarah. He made her feel like she was special and that Heavenly Father thought she was amazing. He told her he would make a painting for her and told her she was priority. He was excited to paint Elder Uchdorf and said he hadn't ever painted Elder Uchdorf before.

The night we went and picked up the painting (which we wouldn't have been able to do if she had gone to Kennewick). Glenn was super excited.  He told Sarah that how she worked and acted on her mission was like a foreshadow of her life. He challenged her to wake up everyday and just give it her all. (when he told he this he pumped his arm in the air) he told of when he was a missionary running from house to house and when his companions wanted him to slow down he said no way, we need to share the good news.

I feel like he was a big blessing in Sarah's life. I feel like Heavenly Father knew she needed to hear that she was special and loved and needed and whatever she had to give he would magnify her efforts.
