1 Year // I LOVE CHILE // pulpito
8/30/21
Well we did it bois. 1 year done. I'm happy and also surprised about how fast and slow it felt. All the people that I've gotten to know. I've felt all the emotions. I would never give this year up for anything else.
Next week my companion's going home, and we'll have transfers. I don't think I'll be staying here because I have been here in El Abrazo for 5 months already, but who knows? The most certain thing is that I'll get a new companion. As usual I'm nervous, but I think I'm ready for change.
We moved to Phase 4 and that opens up even more opportunities for gatherings and such, so our ward will be moving to entirely in person! And we'll have classes in person, which I'm excited for. It will be so hard to get our friends to church, I know it. But I have a feeling that it's for the best.
This week was great because there was a point where I was walking and looking at all the things and houses and stores and people and dogs. I was thinking about how different it was when I first came here and everything was new and hard and I wasn't used to anything, and I realized -- I love it here! I love Chile!
We had a ward activity this week that we organized, a talent show that went super well! We had a video of a song that me and my companion did, and a lot of members participated as well! One of our friends, Diego, connected for the whole activity! I think it was great to have some fun time together and also to show Diego that the members in our ward are normal people too hah
Heh something that I thought was pretty funny (and I guess maybe a little more funny than it actually was) happened yesterday, we were checking who was on the zoom for church so we could see if our friends were watching, and someone connected with the name 'pulpito' (which means little octopus) and we were like, who's pulpito? Then the first councilor started talking from the pulpit and it was him and we were like ohhhh it's the pulpit. Púlpito. Not pulpito. hehe
Well I'm about out of time but I hope everything goes well for you this week, bye!
Hermana Smalley :)
