Oh yeahhhhh ๐
I'm sorry this is cut a bit short because I was running out of time. I can elaborate next week.
This was a blessed week!First off we had the baptisms of Jake and Firas which were wonderful!
Jake's was short because his wife is immunocompromised, so we didn't have a program or anything. He still bore his testimony at the end though. The spirit was there the whole time.
Firas' was longer because he had the whole program and everything. I played the piano and the spirit was so strong. He is so great and wonderful and it was amazing!!
We also had a bunch of small great things happen.
One of our friends who used to drink a lot every day told us he's quitting! He posted a video on Facebook of his little Mini Cooper all filled up with cases of water bottles and soda! Oh yeahhh!! (he always says ohh yeahh to us when we see him at service)
Another friend we have was supposed to get baptized two transfers ago but she chose not to at the last minute because she didn't feel ready. We had a really good lesson with her and read the Book of Mormon and we talked with her about the Holy Ghost and how she wants it with her all the time. She said she wanted to be baptized in January! woot woot
I've been thinking really deep lately and I wanted to share my favorite insight.
We are created in the image of our Parents. It stands to reason that our parential responsibilities are, to a degree, created in the image of Theirs.
Quotes from The Family Proclamation:
"By divine design, fathers are to preside over their families in love and righteousness and are responsible to provide the necessities of life and protection for their families."
Quotes from The Family Proclamation:
"By divine design, fathers are to preside over their families in love and righteousness and are responsible to provide the necessities of life and protection for their families."
Heavenly Father: Presides over us in love and righteousness. Provides for us. Gives us protection.
"Mothers are primarily responsible for the nurture of their children."
Heavenly Mother: Nurtures us. I wish we knew a little more about Her but this has really got me thinking about more what She does for us. The definition of nurture is: to help develop, help grow. Look after a child. Provide with nourishment.
"In these sacred responsibilities, fathers and mothers are obligated to help one another as equal partners."
Our Heavenly Parents: Support one another as They provide for us and nurture us.
I hope you like this thinking as much as I do!

I've also been ravenously eating up the book of Mormon because I want to finish by Christmas. I started in October and now I'm about halfway through Helaman
