Alexander the Christmas Pelican
Hello hello! I don't have that much time again today because we had a district activity again. :)
Friends:
Meron is going to be baptized on January 2nd! Her sister Naomi was baptized two months ago, and Meron was supposed to be baptized on the same day, but she decided not to be baptized because she didn't feel ready. The young women's program has really supported her and helped her feel more comfortable :)
Savala is great! I talked about him last time a little bit. He is going through a complicated immigration process but he told us he is lucky to be here. He moved here from Cameroon. I know he is here because God put him here to find us. He is solid gold. He loves everything we teach him. He is really well versed in the Bible and we always have great discussions.
We didn't feel like we deserved Jake and Firas because they were already taught by missionaries before but Savala we have been with from the very beginning of his journey! We are so blessed.
Oh yeah I complained last time about how Sunday was literally the worst Sunday that Savala could come to. He absolutely loved the Christmas program this week and he told us that he really feels like he's a part of the family. So that's greeeeeeaaat :)
So much Christmas! I feel like every day is Christmas at this point, I am so spiritually uplifted and very much in the Christmas mood.
Some very nice members in our ward gave us some christmas presents and two more christmas trees, so we have 3 mini christmas trees! Our house might explode from the amount of christmas lights!
At the place we serve, Habitat for Humanity Restore, (kinda like DI for furniture and house stuff) There is something that has caught my eye ever since they put out the Christmas decorations. Two words - Christmas Pelican. It's a stuffed animal pelican wearing a santa hat. Of course I bought it. It was only $1.50. What a deal. I wanted to name him some fancy name like Seymour or Humphrey or Sebastian. I might go with Alexander because I got him in Alexandria, but I'm not 100% yet. This is important stuff.
Well I hope everyone has a merry and blessed Christmas!
