Hello!
This week was good, definitely not as amazing as the first week but we had some great things happen as well.
The first is that my companion and my roommates and I are getting along really well during this quarentine! I forgot to write about the other Hermanas living in our house. There is Hermana Hawes from Maryland and Hermana Gaete from Concepcion Chile. They are great! We have fun together.
I forgot to write about this last week -- but my mission has a hymn! Probably the only mission with a hymn written by Janice Kapp Perry!! 👀 I think she served here or she had a kid serve here or something. I'll post the sheet music and attach an audio of me playing the song.
Hermana Rondón and I are learning to play the guitar together from our friend named Romario. The guitar in our house is one of his that he let us borrow.
Hermana Rondón told me she is trying to make me a little more outgoing this week so we'll see what exactly that means :|
Oh gosh I need to write about the cooking disaster that was me and Hermana Hawes trying to cook "north American" with absolutely zero food in our fridge. I will attach a picture, and you guys can guess what food it is. I doubt anyone will get it right.
Conference was good! I loved it. We watched it on two different phones with earbuds, one in spanish for Hermana Rondon and Gaete, and one in English for me and Hermana Hawes.
We recieved a referral this week of a girl named Amanda and she is amazing! The first messages she sent us, she told us how she isn't sure where she is in her beliefs, she's not sure she believes in god, and more things like that. Well, our first lesson we taught her went so well, and she's super interested! I haven't taught a lesson that good in a while! After it she messaged us and asked us how to join the church 😀
She said she prayed at night and felt peace, and was able to sleep for the first time in a while.
We might have a baptism this week! Our friend Isrrael is supposed to get baptized soon but he's in the process of moving to Valparaiso, so we'll see what happens.
