hello there
Hello everyone! I've got a bit of time to write today and talk about the things from the last 3 weeks. maybe :)
Things have been going pretty great here in El Abrazo. A little hard sometimes but overall great! We have been finding a lot more consistently from Facebook! My companion wrote a song called "Facebook finding" during a meeting we had for our facebook page. It is called "facebook finding" in english because one of the social media leaders, Hermana Perez always uses that phrase like it's a trademark or something, like "ayer tuvimos un milagro, hicimos *facebook finding* y encontramos alguien"
so we always find that a bit funny
We received a referral with a baptismal date!! Her name is Nancy and we haven't met her yet.
Our friends Amanda and Joseline are doing really well and progressing a lot towards baptism. We've had a lot of good lessons with members present! I love when our friends can hear the testimonies of members.
We had a weird phone call lesson with our friend Jaime who sounded like he was in the middle of his farm with roosters and chickens and chicks chirping and squawking the whole time
My companion is going home this week and it's pretty sad because she's one of my favorites and I love her a lot. She has to go home a transfer early for medical reasons and every day my goal is to help her as much as I can to work and stay healthy and to minimize her pain.
I'm nervous for transfers! I'm getting a new companion and I'll be leading the area I think. unless they move me. I hope not. there's a chance I could be training a chilena because we're getting two hermanas in the mission on Friday! I would like that I think :)
I cut my finger bad and so I can't play the guitar :( or the piano all the way :(
I just wanted to make applesauce, and it did turn out pretty good. But a lot of blood went into that applesauce. not literally INTO the applesauce but you know what I mean :||||
I've been starting to read Acts and I love it. I think it might be one of my favorite books, because it's a book of missionaries! Peter, Paul, John. I just read about Steven and I love how he's described as a man 'filled with the Holy Ghost'
I love studying and I love being a missionary!!
I hope this week goes well.
I want to ask you guys to send me your favorite scriptures! I'm curious and would love to hear what some of your favorite scriptures are :)
Well bye for now!
Hermana Smalley
