Heeeey! How's it going! I'm in a good mood today and I've got a bit of motivation so I guess I'll write an email. Normally I don't write "por pura flojera no mas" jeje (just out of pure laziness)
This last week we had a fantastic p day, spent basically the whole day with our district, played basketball, board games. Secret Hitler. One time I was Hitler and of course I was VERY nervous and one of the elders asked me "are you fascist or liberal" (in spanish of course) and I said "... fascist :(" very dejectedly. We managed to win the game!! Somehow!! We didn't take a picture because we're scrubs
On Tuesday we had zone conference!! We traveled together with our friends from our district and it was super fun because it was like an hour bus ride. During the middle of the conference a brand new elder from Argentina arrived!! So that was super surprising. Hes the first from Argentina and everyone loves his accent. He's in our zone, his name is Elder Parpal. Immediately my zone decided to teach him what "chupar la piña" means.. for some reason.. (slang for "making out").
I really enjoyed the conference, I felt it was a lot more special than normal, with lots of participation and object lessons. One of my favorite parts was when the stake president from Cerrillos and his family were talking to us, they talked about how we can work with the members more efficiently. I loved his testimony at the end. "I served a mission for two years. My older brother served for three years. Sometimes I had to use my bag as a shield because people would throw rocks at us. But for my brother the mission was much harder. He was beaten, spit on, whipped. I returned home from my mission, but my brother didn't. He died on the cross. His mission was the most important on earth. I will always look up to my brother."
The rest of the week went by fast! Some points real quick.
We had fantastic lessons with:
Marcela - she's had some incredible experiences, angels, and seeing people who've died! and and we shared with her Moroni 7 where it talks about the gifts of the spirit, and how some people have the gift of seeing angels and ministering spirits. She is awesome 😄
Ricardo. This was really special, we read the introduction and he was SUPER fascinated and interested. After every line he said "increible" and we were like, yeah!!
Diego - he's 8 and super sweet. His mom is basically a member who isn't baptized
Today we went hiking! 😏 I'm so tired. and played board games again. I was Hitler..again. And we won.
This week is our ward Christmas party!! I'm excited. It doesn't feel like Christmas time... it's too hot to be Christmas 😔
Welp that is everything that I can think of at the moment! I hope you all have a great week 😇
